Ukraine is the Country Coordinator for the Working Group on Institutional Renewal and Good Governancefor the term May 2009 - 30 June 2011

The BSEC shares the view that governments play a vital role in promoting economic development, and, that the way by which that role is exercised, is of central importance today. Achieving effective governance in the face of the dynamic forces of the new century may well be the biggest challenge to be met by virtually all governments. Cooperative activities should be built around a few key qualities of governance as set out below :
