Romania is the Country Coordinator for the Working Group on Institutional Renewal and Good Governance for the term 1 January 2018 – 31 December 2019

Ms. Rositsa STOEVA - Executive Manager in PERMIS in charge of the Working Group.

The BSEC shares the view that governments play a vital role in promoting economic development, and, that the way by which that role is exercised, is of central importance today. Achieving effective governance in the face of the dynamic forces of the new century may well be the biggest challenge to be met by virtually all governments. Cooperative activities should be built around a few key qualities of governance as set out below :

 Legality and Legitimacy
 Effective Partnerships
 Policy Integration
 Responsible Budgeting
 Investing in Government Capacity
 Black Sea Cities Exchange
 Anticipating Crisis Management
 Building Key Networks
